inventor-demo software package provides Open Inventor demonstration programs and example code, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install inventor-demo
inventor-demo is installed in your system.
Make ensure the inventor-demo package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep inventor-demo *
You will get with inventor-demo package name, version, architecture and description in a table
